I am currently living in Tokyo with 2 interests:I have a successful career with Coca-Cola, currently working for Coca-Cola Bottler Japan Inc. I have been in Tokyo for 3 years and see this continuing for a number of years more based on investment and projects. I have been working in Logistics, Manufacturing and IT for Coca-Cola for 14 years in total now. I also run a startup company with my Japanese partner - Fortify KK. We are focussed on the importing and B2C sales of Fortified Wines, particularly South Australian and Australian. We have run a successful launch campaign on Crowdfunding wesbite, and are now launching own own B2C wesbite, https://www.foritfy.co.jpOur target market initially is Japanese consumers, in a number of niche categories - professional women 25-45, alcohol connoisseurs 45+, and camping enthusiasts. This is a passion business initially, to introduce the category into Japan in a meaningful way.
What do you want to get out of the Club?
We are passionate about our business opportunity and sharing a product that we really love. There is a unique story to tell from fortified wine in South Australia, of the foundation of the wine industry. As we are a new startup in this field I want to connect for mutual benefits in logistics, distribution, government assistance, export assistance, and locally in Japan on connections and opportunities to sell.
What can you contribute?
I have many years of logistics and manufacturing experience in a global company. I am always happy to share knowledge in this area.In Japan, I have the unique position of working for a very large Japanese company with a wide network. I am happy to also share this knowledge.Principally my role in SA Club would more relate to Fortify KK, where the opportunity to share SA is more prevalent.
